"Can I go to the beach with Lexi and Tori?"
She'd been on the phone for over an hour now; an hour and 18 minutes, to be exact. I'd been counting for a week and she had already cost us $180 on the phone bill. That girl sure loves to talk.
"When is it?" My mother's weary voice responded.
"Well, they were kiiiiinda hoping we might be able to possibly go today?" A tentative reply, as I expected.
